Neither photos nor videos: in the new spot from Getty Images, the 360º comes out on top
The brand highlights the least well known of its media formats in campaign created by AlmapBBDO
A rivalry between two neighbors is at the heart of the latest production from one of the world’s largest image banks. In “Jealousy,” Getty Images provides a light-hearted take on the war between a photo and a video, both formats available in its image databases. Creative is by AlmapBBDO, made 100% using Getty Images’ photo and video files.
The spot tells the story of an ordinary guy – who’s a photo – who’s jealous of his neighbor, a video. His neighbor can do all the things he’s always dreamed of: go swimming, drive a fast car, go see his favorite band in concert, and play with his dog.
Then a new digital media format shows up: the 360º panorama video. This format can do things that the other two could never dream of, such as traveling all across the world and having intense, all-around experiences.
The 360º format is already available from Getty Images. The campaign aims to highlight the genre, which many image-bank users aren’t yet aware of.
