Brief Explanation: Rob Fiocca is a photographer well recognized for his beautiful images of food and luxury goods. With a new generation of creative talent in our industry Fiocca needed a visual identity system that allowed him to showcase his timeless style of work in a fresh and impactful way. Describe the brief from the client: Client wanted an identity that represented more than just one photographer. It needed to represent an entire studio of image professionals. Along with the rebrand they wanted a promo that would help gain the attention of a broader range of clients. Description of how you arrived at the final design: Above all, Fiocca stands for quality of craft. Understanding this, a new identity platform was built from the concept of creating a modern day “artisan guild”. With a simple name change to Fiocca Studio, the logo was designed into the form of a modern day shield. Oversized posters using photography on one side and typography on the other were designed in sets of threes and randomly mailed out. Overall it was important to design a visual identity system that captures and compliments the sophistication of Fiocca Studio, without getting in the way of the stunning photography. Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market: The rebrand and promotional materials have generated great interest, not only making it onto the desks and walls of key influencers but also becoming an in demand item, requiring additional print runs. More importantly since reintroducing himself and his team to the creative community, Fiocca Studio has managed to expand their range of work. |
