BriefExplanation

The 60-second film opens in an empty room with only a slender, older man on his hands and knees atop a marble pedestal wearing nothing but black underwear, socks, and sneakers. Another man wearing a tuxedo enters the room, takes a bow, and sits on a stool behind the older man. He cracks his knuckles and lifts open a hidden hatch on the man’s bare back, revealing a piano. As the pianist runs his fingers over the keys, the only sound the viewer hears is deep throat singing from the older man. As the music ends, the pianist calmly stares into camera as a single tear rolls down his cheek, and the older man curiously turns to face the camera. The spot ends with the tagline “Things you can’t unthink.”

With courses across all disciplines of creativity and performance, Banff Centre aims to inspire everyone the artists, leaders, and thinkers who attend to unleash their creative potential. The space also houses numerous galleries and performance spaces open to the public, and we were challenged with promoting the centre to both creators, and curious consumers, in one piece.
