Gears Of War is an action-shooter game which launched globally on 17th November 2006. Anti-hero Marcus Fenix, leads a ragtag fireteam in the last stand of human survival against an enemy, the Locust Horde, who appear from the bowels of the planet Sera on Emergence Day.
Given the business objective, Xbox 360 needed to break out of the gamer elite and into the wider entertainment sphere, to realise the campaign vision of the 2006 “must-have entertainment property.”
