World Afro Day and Ogilvy have come together for first-ever campaign to raise awareness around hair bias.
Ogilvy, Wavmaker and World Afro Day pioneer a new awareness campaign ‘Change the Facts, Not the Fro’.
Focusing on tackling how society perceives women’s Afro hair and highlighting the importance of celebrating it in its natural glory. Challenging the status quo enabling this generation and the ones to come to have a choice to wear their hair in whatever way, shape or form.
With striking imagery taken by London based photographer Derrick Kakembo, who has previously worked with the British photograher and director Rankin, and now colloborated with is London based production studio The Graft to bring to light to World Afro Day.
So wear your hair however you want and embrace the global day of change, education and celebration of Afro hair, culture and identity.
