Every line we wrote had to do two things: Tell our target that we get things for them, and also that we understand them as people and how we fit into their various lifestyles.
EntrySummary
Postmates is an on-demand delivery service on a mission to help people order anything, from anywhere, and have it delivered to their door. But with a growing on-demand category and competitors with deep pockets, Postmates had to stand out. We created an outdoor campaign written specifically to the people of L.A. and N.Y., and placed ads in relevant locations, such as near marijuana dispensaries, movie studios, liquor stores, and restaurants in L.A. In N.Y., we placed the ads in specific neighborhoods, such as Murray Hill—where trust-fund babies live—and the Fashion District—where the models go. We also played off famous subway tropes and common subway behavior to make the ads resonate more with our target.
