Synopsis
• Situation: Frigo Pie is a well one Brand in Spain that parents remember from their childhood days, and their kids of today also love it. There was an opportunity to create this bond between parents and kids with something that they both love. • Brief: To create an experience where parents and kids can get together and share a memorable moment with a Frigo Pie together, that brings back the fond memories that parents had as kids, and plays on the love that kids have for it today. • Objectives: The best experiences with ice cream need to be live where they can eat and play with the product. So we wanted to create an experience in a location that would engage and capture the hearts of all parents and kids in the area and get them to try Frigo Pie.
Strategy
•We wanted for the experience to take place in a location on a weekend where there would be a high turn over of people, especially families with kids. The Frigo Pie shoe store was positioned in a prime location within the shopping mall to ensure that it would be seen.
Relevancy
An experience was created where Parents and Kids would get together and interact with Frigo Pie, by playing on the fond memories that parents had of the ice cream in their childhood days. A one off event was created to bring a special experience to capture the hearts of parents and kids.
Outcome
The experience had an unprecedented impact. People waited outside of the Frigo Pie store for up to an hour for their own special ice cream in their shoe size. Our stock sold out four hours earlier than anticipated and it was the busiest store in the entire shopping mall. And most important of all, parents got to share a special moment with their kids.
Execution
For one day in the busy shopping mall, the Frigo Pie shoe store was installed. Specially built Frigo Pie Ice creams were created in a range of different sizes to be made available. Staff were hired to as if they were working in a real show store. The store to built and designed to look like a real shoe store. Placing the experience in a busy location ensured scale and a high turn around of people engaging with the experience.

Frigo Pie is a pretty simple ice cream. It’s an ice cream in the shape of a foot. In English it’s called ‘Funny Foot’. It’s funny how it’s the simple things that put kids in a playful mood. So how could we take this thing that makes Frigo Pie iconic and loved to engage people? Simple. Open a Frigo Pie shoe store. That’s right. For one day, we created a pop up shoe store in one of Madrid’s busiest shopping malls where parents and kids could go together, get their shoes sized measured, and get specially made Frigo Pie in their size.
